ATTENDING: MWO KELLY RUSSELL
MKO Kelly Russell Kelly has served in the Canadian Armed Forces for going on 30 years this Jan. Kelly worked many aspects of the military from controlling our skies, to working with NASA during Space launches and flying on E-3 platforms, to heading the Canadian Air Force Protection Team for the RCAF. She spent most of her time as head script writer and lead evaluator teaching other counties, "Counter Terrorism Units". Kelly was diagnosed with complex PTSD in 2013. Like most, it took a while to admit anything was wrong with her. In that first year she worked with Walleye Anglers Association to start the first Soldier On fishing derby. After a lot of heartache and difficulties her spouse suggested she get a service dog. Kelly had tried it before with a different company and it didn't work so well with her, so she wasn't keen on the idea. July 1st 2016 Kelly went to Ottawa to visit a friend and service dog trainer, Marc Lapointe, co-founder of Audeamus, to look at a 70% trained service dog named Spot. Kelly and Spot have been together since.
